About Louise
Louise brings her diverse life adventures, experience living in traditional cultures, and an oriental perspective into the heart of the healing process. In the 1980’s when acupuncture completely turned around severe asthma and steroid dependency, Louise was hooked. She entered a lifelong commitment to alternative health practices. This has included practicing homeopathy and touch for health, using art for healing and community development, counselling training, and a Doctorate in Trauma Healing. I have chosen the Oriental Medicine pathway to further develop my intuitive and healing skills.
‘I believe our bodies are continually striving for balance. Shiatsu accesses the traditional meridian pathways used in acupuncture, to nourish and restore, to alleviate pain and manage injuries,’ says Louise.
Louise loves the hands-on nature of shiatsu. She works intuitively, listening and responding to the body’s messages with deep concentration and inviting clients’ active involvement in the healing process. Oriental medicine is always interested in the spirit and how it resides in the body, or is separated from it. Shiatsu enlivens this connection restoring wholeness.
